Nancy is passionate about empowering clients' self esteem
Nancy Chavez is a first generation mexicana, punk chava born in Tongva territory, aka Los Angeles County with deep roots from Raramuri lands in Chihuahua and Durango, Mexico. She was blessed to learn through her family traditions and culture the medicine of the elements, animals, and guardians of the lands. Her abuelitas and abuelitos have maintained their family traditions and continue to work with the land. The respect and confidence inherited from them has left her with a passion to continue living connected to the land with honor and gratitude. Nancy moved to Coquelle, Oregon in 2009 for a seasonal course in Natural Building and Food Forestry; then later moved to what was once Walumskni territory to live and work at Siskiyou Crest raw goat dairy + Boone’s farm where an acre was dedicated to organic food growing for community. She relocated to Huchiun, Ohlone territory in 2013 wanting to be closer to home and trained to become an Esthetician. She has learned about natural medicine from her family relations- the female bodies in her lineage, her abuelito sobador Roman Chavez Moreno, y tod@s las curanderas y curanderos, cargadoras y cargadores de tradicion en su vida. She has also attended various courses in Western herbalism to better understand the science and make connections from these gapped cultures. During Summer 2018, she decided to delve deeper into her life missions and decided to offer prenatal, birth, postpartum, abortion, and bereavement support.
Nancy Chavez is a Licensed Esthetician in California certified in Clinical Esthetics and Aroma-therapeutic oils by Concepts Institute of Advanced Cosmetics. She has studied plant medicine at California School for Herbal Studies and Herbal Medics Academy. Nancy is a doula with Roots of Labor Birth Collective. She continues to attend trainings on herbal skin care, traditional therapies, and advancements in wholistic health.

Cuauhtli Botanicals is not just about creating high quality skin care products to keep your face and body feeling and looking its best, it is also about understanding the importance and effects of healthy skin care. With a priority on using the best and freshest ingredients, each batch is small, hand crafted, and made with love, using gently, safe, and effective botanicals + minerals.
Items are packaged in glass bottles or jars to ensure potency, freshness and longevity.
All products are best kept in a cool dry place, away from any direct sunlight and safe from extreme temperature changes. This will help maintain freshness. Products may be refrigerated.
